After years of slapdash sequels and waning fandom, the Camp Miasma slasher franchise is handed over to an enthusiastic young director for resurrection. Queer filmmaker Kris is hired to reboot the long-running 1980s slasher franchise, which features an unstoppable killer named Little Death who wields a double-bladed spear and wears a boxy air vent as a mask. When Kris visits the original film’s star, Billy a now-reclusive “final girl” shrouded in mystery who has lived in solitude at the original shooting location the two women fall into a blood-soaked world of desire, fear, and delirium. As Kris becomes infatuated with Billy, both are drawn into psychological and sexual chaos, blurring the lines between fiction and reality in this meta horror exploration.
