Jiro Azuma is a descendant of ninjas and trained in the ancient warrior art of the shinobi. He also possesses the unique ability to communicate with animals, a characteristic that has been part of his routine since childhood. After a mysterious encounter with an injured cat named Rago, Jiro discovers the feline is actually the legendary Black Star of Doom a powerful entity sought by supernatural forces. Joined by the Bureau of Espionage, Jiro and Rago must fight off swarms of mononoke (supernatural creatures) lying in wait to exploit Rago’s powers. As they battle through increasingly dangerous enemies, Jiro must master his ninja abilities and protect Rago from those who would use the Black Star’s power for evil.
