The Inquisitor is a documentary about Congresswoman Barbara Jordan, the first Southern Black woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. The film traces her rise from Houston’s Fifth Ward to the national stage, where her powerful voice and moral clarity made her a leader during President Richard Nixon’s impeachment hearings. Through archival footage and interviews, the documentary shows how Jordan broke barriers in a world dominated by white men and earned the nickname “The Inquisitor.” Her story offers a blueprint for leadership and unity in a divided America.
