Ian Ridley is a former police detective who now works as an emergency dispatcher after his daughter Maggie disappeared 11 years earlier. When he receives a frantic call from a teenage girl who sounds like Maggie, Ian becomes convinced that his daughter may still be alive. He launches a desperate investigation, following clues through the isolated town of Port McKenna and ignoring warnings from the police and his own family.
His search leads him to the secretive Reid family, whose members appear connected to the disappearance. As Ian gets closer to the truth, he risks his job, his marriage, and his safety in a quest that becomes increasingly personal and dangerous.
