Howard Silk is a low-level employee at a Berlin-based United Nations agency called the Office of Interchange (OI), which serves as a conduit between two parallel dimensions. For 30 years, Howard has worked in the same mundane job, unaware that his agency secretly maintains a bridge between two identical worlds—one that diverged during the Cold War after a scientific experiment went wrong. When Howard finally meets his counterpart from the other world, he discovers a hardened, ruthless version of himself—a spy and assassin shaped by a darker, more dangerous existence. As the two Howards are forced to work together to uncover a conspiracy that threatens both worlds, Howard is drawn into a world of espionage, betrayal, and moral ambiguity. The series explores themes of identity, choice, and the paths not taken, as Howard navigates a complex web of secrets, assassins, and political intrigue spanning two parallel universes.
