Set in 1990s Berlin, 4 Blocks Zero tells the origin story of the Hamady family before they became one of the city’s most powerful criminal clans. Malik Hamady arrives from Lebanon with his four children and mother-in-law, hoping to build a legitimate life in Germany despite prejudice, financial hardship, and the challenges of starting over.
Their fragile stability is threatened when Malik’s brother-in-law, Ibrahim, returns after eight years in prison carrying a dangerous secret. As Ibrahim becomes involved in Berlin’s criminal underworld, the family is gradually drawn toward violence and organized crime. The series also follows young Ali Hamady—the future Toni—as he begins the journey that will eventually transform him into a powerful clan leader.
