Set in the near future, Flynne Fisher lives in a rural part of the United States, working at a local 3D printing shop while earning extra money as a VR gamer. When she agrees to beta-test a mysterious new headset, she finds herself immersed in a futuristic London—a sleek, dangerous world of corporate espionage, advanced technology, and hidden agendas. What Flynne doesn’t realize is that the “game” she’s playing is actually a real place in the future, and her actions there have consequences that ripple across timelines. As she becomes entangled in a conspiracy involving powerful forces in both the future and the past, Flynne must navigate a complex web of secrets, assassins, and alternate realities to protect her family and uncover the truth about the mysterious “peripheral” technology. Based on William Gibson’s novel, the series explores themes of time travel, parallel timelines, and the consequences of technology on society.
