American college football coach Ted Lasso is unexpectedly hired to manage AFC Richmond, an English football club, despite having no experience with soccer. Although his relentlessly positive attitude initially frustrates players, staff, and supporters, Ted gradually earns their trust through empathy, humor, and genuine leadership. Across four seasons, the series follows Richmond’s sporting battles and the personal struggles of Ted, Rebecca Welton, Roy Kent, Coach Beard, Keeley Jones, and the rest of the club.
