Sylvie, a famous but isolated novelist living in Paris, searches for inspiration by secretly observing her neighbors across the street. She begins inventing stories about their relationships and private lives, blurring the boundary between reality and fiction. When she hires Adam, a mysterious young man, to help with her daily routines, he unexpectedly disrupts both her life and her writing. Soon, Sylvie’s imagined narratives begin to overtake the lives of the people she has been watching.
