Olga is a middle-aged woman who lives a strictly regulated, solitary life in a large apartment block in Mexico City. She has no friends or close relationships and has made peace with her loneliness. When she needs money for a toe surgery, she reluctantly rents out a room in her apartment to Tulio, a family man whose wife is hospitalized nearby. Tulio secretly brings along his nine-year-old son, Cristian, hiding him in the rented room. To Olga’s surprise, she begins to form an unlikely bond with the boy. As their lives intertwine, Olga’s carefully controlled world starts to shift, forcing all three to confront illness, money, and affection in unexpected ways.
