Five young offenders sentenced to community service at a rehabilitation center in London discover they have developed extraordinary superpowers after a mysterious electrical storm strikes during their work assignment. The group includes Kelly, a foul-mouthed shop assistant; Curtis, a former Olympic sprinter; Simon, a shy and awkward geek; Alisha, a provocative party girl; and Nathan, an irreverent and attention-seeking troublemaker. As they navigate their new abilities—which range from telepathy and time manipulation to invisibility and immortality—they must also deal with the consequences of their powers, a mysterious hooded figure who seems to know their secrets, and the challenges of keeping their abilities hidden from the world. Set against the gritty backdrop of urban London, the series blends dark comedy, drama, and superhero elements as these unlikely heroes learn that having powers doesn’t make life easier—it just makes it more complicated.
