Kim Mi-mo is an office worker who has lived her entire life feeling invisible and overlooked due to her appearance. After undergoing plastic surgery, she transforms into a stunningly beautiful woman and begins working at a new company under a new identity. However, her fresh start is shattered when she becomes entangled in a series of brutal murders. The victims are all women who have undergone plastic surgery, and the killer seems to be targeting them specifically. As Mi-mo investigates the crimes, she discovers a dark conspiracy involving a mysterious organization called “The Mask,” which has been manipulating and controlling women who have had cosmetic procedures. With the help of detective Han Jung-ho, Mi-mo must uncover the truth behind the murders while hiding her own secret identity. The series explores themes of beauty standards, identity, revenge, and the psychological toll of living behind a mask—both literal and metaphorical.
