Martha, a struggling comedian and recovering alcoholic working at a pub, meets Donny, a vulnerable young man who becomes a regular customer. When Martha takes pity on Donny and buys him a drink after he can’t afford one, it sparks an unexpected and increasingly dangerous obsession. Donny begins stalking Martha, showing up at her shows, leaving gifts, and sending hundreds of messages. What starts as an unsettling nuisance escalates into a psychological thriller as Martha’s past trauma, addiction issues, and complicated relationship with her parents collide with Donny’s disturbing fixation. Based on Richard Gadd’s award-winning one-man show, the series explores themes of trauma, manipulation, vulnerability, and the complex dynamics between victim and perpetrator in this darkly comedic yet deeply unsettling story.
