Simon Ward, a working-class metalworker, finds his life unraveling after a traumatic home invasion, mounting problems at his job, and the sudden death of his best friend. As he struggles to cope, he falls under the influence of Dalton Kirby, a provocative radio host whose paranoia-fueled rhetoric and outrage begin warping Simon’s view of the world around him. Pushed towards extremism by grief, fear, and Kirby’s manipulative broadcasts, Simon reaches a breaking point and takes drastic, violent action—only to realize that the true source of the poison consuming him may not be the world around him, but the voice that has been feeding his anger all along.
