In late‑Victorian London, an unexplained event grants a group of people—mostly women—strange and sometimes terrifying abilities. Dubbed “the Touched,” they face fear, exploitation, and violent persecution from society and powerful elites. Amalia True, a mysterious widow with combat skills and a hidden past, and Penance Adair, a brilliant inventor, create a sanctuary to protect their kind. As they battle enemies both human and superpowered, a deeper conspiracy emerges: the Touched are part of a larger, otherworldly plan that could reshape history itself, with Amalia at the center of a secret mission stretching far beyond 19th‑century London.
