A fateful decision made by Ye Wenjie during China’s Cultural Revolution in the 1960s sends a signal into space that reverberates across decades and continents. In the present day, five brilliant Oxford friends—Jin, Auggie, Jack, Will, and Saul—begin experiencing impossible phenomena as the laws of physics appear to break down. They join forces with detective Da Shi and intelligence agent Thomas Wade to confront an existential alien threat known as the Trisolarans, whose advanced civilization is en route to Earth. Adapted from Cixin Liu’s acclaimed novel, the series blends hard science fiction, political intrigue, and a global fight for humanity’s survival.netflix+2
