Jesse Custer, a hard-drinking Texas preacher experiencing a crisis of faith, becomes infused with Genesis an unholy offspring of an angel and a demon that grants him the power to command anyone to do his bidding. Alongside his trigger-happy ex-girlfriend Tulip O’Hare and his new Irish vampire friend Cassidy, Jesse embarks on a cross-country quest to literally find God, who has abandoned Heaven, and make Him answer for deserting creation. Based on the comic book series by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon.
