Veneno, a rebellious young drifter, frequents roadside diners and truck stops across northern Mexico, where he sleeps with truck drivers in exchange for cash and drugs. After being left at a diner by a trucker who refuses to pay him, he meets Muñeco, a hard-edged, solitary truck driver who keeps to himself. Veneno convinces Muñeco to take him along on his long-haul route, plunging them both deep into the hyper-masculine world of Mexican trucking culture. As they travel together across the stark desert highways, an unexpected intimacy and romance develops between the two men. But as their bond deepens, shadows from Veneno’s past resurface, putting both their lives at risk and forcing them to confront danger at every truck stop.
