PROJECT XY is China’s first BL (Boys’ Love) reality show. Using a “Search for the Leading Actor” format, the series casts the main and supporting CPs (couplings) for a debut BL drama. The show creates a complete business loop across talent-building, drama incubation, fan economy, and merchandise. It serves as the launchpad for Chinese-language BL content on the global stage. Six men arrive at a seaside house as complete strangers. Each is searching for the partner who matches him best. Through challenges, auditions, and bonding activities, they must prove they have what it takes to star in a BL drama.
