J. Robert Oppenheimer is a brilliant American theoretical physicist. During World War II, he leads the Manhattan Project, a top-secret effort to develop the first nuclear weapons. Working at Los Alamos Laboratory, Oppenheimer and a team of scientists race against time to create an atomic bomb before Nazi Germany succeeds. Their work culminates in the Trinity test on July 16, 1945, the world’s first nuclear explosion. The film explores Oppenheimer’s motivations, the ethical conflicts he faced, and the profound consequences of his creation. It also examines his later security hearings and his complex legacy as the “father of the atomic bomb.”
