A secret group of researchers discover the coordinates of the legendary lost city of Atlantis, buried deep beneath the ice of Antarctica. When a new team led by Dr. Elizabeth Weir travels through the Stargate to the Pegasus Galaxy, they find the ancient city of the Ancients—but also awaken a terrifying new enemy: the Wraith, a vampiric race that feeds on human life force. Cut off from Earth and unable to return home, the Atlantis expedition must survive in an unfamiliar galaxy while exploring the city’s advanced technology, forging alliances with local human civilizations, and battling the Wraith threat. Over five seasons, the team faces escalating conflicts, discovers new allies and enemies, and uncovers the secrets of the Ancients while fighting to protect Atlantis and the human populations of the Pegasus Galaxy.
