Set in the years before Captain Kirk takes command in Star Trek: The Original Series, Strange New Worlds follows Captain Christopher Pike and the USS Enterprise crew as they explore new worlds, encounter new civilizations, and confront both external threats and personal demons. The series blends episodic, mission-of-the-week storytelling with ongoing character arcs, including Pike’s struggle with his foreseen tragic future, Spock’s emotional and romantic life, Una Chin-Riley’s hidden identity, and the crew’s encounters with the Gorn. Season 4 concludes with a temporal mystery in which Uhura communicates with her future self and works to save Scotty while restoring the proper timeline.paramountplus+2
