After a mysterious explosion and weeks lost at sea, Daryl Dixon washes ashore in a post‑apocalyptic France the suspected origin of the zombie virus with no memory of how he got there. Rescued by a group of children and a headstrong nun, Isabelle Carrière, Daryl begins a perilous journey across a broken but resilient France, hoping to find a way back home to the United States. Along the way, he encounters the Union of Hope, a community striving to rebuild civilization, and clashes with the ruthless Power of Living (PDL), a paramilitary force determined to control the outbreak and its secrets. In Season 2, Daryl’s path converges with Carol Peletier, who has crossed the Atlantic searching for him, leading them deeper into a web of conspiracies involving the fallen Union and a shadowy organization in Paris. By Season 3, the pair are shipwrecked in Spain, where they become entangled with a peaceful village and new factions, forcing Daryl to choose between the promise of home and the people he has sworn to protect.
