After his mother dies of a drug overdose, 17-year-old Joshua “J” Cody moves in with his estranged relatives in Oceanside, California: his grandmother Janine “Smurf” Cody and her three sons—Pope, Craig, and Deran. The Codys run a criminal enterprise, and J quickly finds himself drawn into their dangerous world of heists, drug dealing, and violence. As J navigates the family’s complex dynamics and criminal operations, he must decide whether to embrace the Cody lifestyle or forge his own path. The series explores themes of family loyalty, survival, power struggles, and the consequences of a life of crime across six seasons of intense drama and action.
