Once the star of the popular 1990s sitcom Horsin’ Around, BoJack Horseman is now a washed-up actor living in Hollywood. Struggling with addiction, depression, resentment, and self-destructive behavior, he attempts to revive his career while navigating complicated relationships with his ghostwriter Diane Nguyen, roommate Todd Chavez, agent Princess Carolyn, and former rival Mr. Peanutbutter. Across the first five seasons, the series blends sharp comedy with an increasingly serious examination of fame, trauma, mental illness, addiction, accountability, and the difficulty of changing.
BoJack Horseman premiered on Netflix on August 22, 2014. Seasons 1–5 each contain 12 episodes, and Season 5 was released on September 14, 2018. citeabout.netflix+1
