The series follows teenagers Nick Birch, Andrew Glouberman, Jessi Klein, and their friends as they navigate puberty, relationships, sexuality, identity, and growing up. Their experiences are personified by fantastical creatures such as Hormone Monsters, Anxiety Mosquitoes, Lovebugs, and Shame Wizards, creating an irreverent comedy about the confusing transition from childhood to adolescence.
